Buri Sport was originally opened in the late 1920’s under the name of Steuri Bazar by Fritz and Berta Steuri, the great grandparents of Nils and Kim Buri.

In 1965, Max and Heidi Buri took over the business and renamed it Buri Sport. They started selling skis, high-end fashion, and ski clothing, eventually entering into the ski rental business in the late 1970’s.

Buri Sport is a founding member of Swiss Rent a Ski and also a founding member of Skiset. Skiset today is the largest ski rental franchise worldwide with over 900 shops.

The Private Ski and Snowboard School is also under the Buri Sport management since 1994.

Owned and operated by a family member since the beginning, Buri Sport is truly «Local since Forever»
